Before adopting the all-red look, Liverpool wore a red shirt and white shorts, combined with a variety of sock colors throughout the seasons, from white to black, to red and red and white. Surprisingly, the club used blue and white kits reduced by half from its founding in 1892 until the 1896 campaign. Recently, Carlsberg put on red for Liverpool FC fans and released a limited-edition red barley pilsner especially for Liverpool FC fans, to celebrate the decision of legendary coach Bill Shankly to play with an all-red kit. Like the team that played in Anfield before Liverpool used to wear blue, Liverpool initially wore light blue and white square shirts and dark blue shorts.
